Engelmann Sensor GmbH has been the technologically leading manufacturer of heat and cold meters for almost 50 years. During this time, over 10 million meters have been manufactured that reliably record consumption data.
In addition to heat and cooling meters, we offer a complete product portfolio for submetering applications. With our competent and innovative team we develop and produce heat and cold meters in Wiesloch-Baiertal. Our production capacity is flexible and optimally designed to serve large and small batches. We manufacture compact heat and cold meters up to a size of DN40 (qp10).
All our products are developed on the open communication architecture Open Metering System (OMS) based on M-Bus. Our complete portfolio is OMS 4 Mode 7 capable and thus serves current BSI security standards. We offer Software for reading and transferring customer data. Our state-approved calibration laboratory is accredited with PTB and MID. Engelmann Sensor GmbH is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

The Engelmann SensoStar heat meter offers a wide range of options and settings to ensure precise and reliable measurement of the amount of heat in any installation situation. The different variants of compact and large volume meters with impeller or ultrasonic flow sensors offer the optimum solution for every installation situation.
Thanks to the wide portfolio of single-jet and multi-jet flow sensors in various sizes and lengths, you are well equipped for any requirement.
SensoStar compact meters are available in a wide range of sizes up to DN40 and in all common measuring capsule variants. With the separate SensoStar C calculator, Engelmann also offers the perfect solution for easy connection of mechanical or ultrasonic large-flow sensors >DN40.
Thanks to the modular system, it is possible to choose from a wide range of communication modules. The modules, which can be retrofitted at any time, offer you the greatest possible flexibility in application. Engelmann heat meters are also available as hybrid meters (combined cooling and heat meters) for systems in which both cooling and heat are measured.
Water meter
The radio-integrated water meter is the perfect solution for recording cold and hot water consumption. With a wide range of single-jet and multi-jet flow sensors for cold and hot water applications, the meter is suitable for all common installation locations and applications. The digital display shows the consumption values in real time, so you always have an overview of your water consumption.
Thanks to the integrated 868 MHz radio, the consumption values can be transmitted wirelessly at any time. OMS-compliant radio communication in T1 or C1 mode enables reliable remote reading of the devices. Installer work is done quickly, as the device is easy to install and can be adjusted at any time. Up-to-date notices and alerts ensure that you are always up to date and can quickly identify potential problems.

Heat cost allocator
With the HCA e2, you can easily and conveniently record the consumption data of your radiators and create a consumption-based heating bill. The heat cost allocator meets all requirements of the amended German Heating Cost Ordinance (HKVO) and the European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).
Thanks to the radio transmission of consumption values, you can conveniently provide consumption information during the year and are thus ideally equipped to meet the requirements of the HKVO.

Gateway
The Engelmann Gateway makes remote reading of consumption data child’s play. The gateway is not only used to collect, filter and decode wireless M-Bus telegrams, but also automatically transmits them to your server, e-mail address or Engelmann AMR software. You also have the option of flexibly setting the gateway’s send and receive times. This means that you can easily adjust the times at which data is received and forwarded to suit your needs.
With the Gateway with installation mode the successful commissioning of the radio system can be checked directly on site via smartphone. In addition, the Gateway with installation mode enables independent site installation through battery operation. With a service life of up to 10 years, the Gateway is also a reliable solution in the long term.
The Gateway with installation mode is able to collect data from up to 1000 wireless M-Bus devices in battery mode or 1500 devices in mains mode. The collected data can then be forwarded through the platform in various file formats, either to an FTP server or via e-mail to a predefined address.
The Gateway with installation mode is OMS compliant and compatible with all OMS devices. It supports OMS versions 3.0.1 or 4.0.2, making it a safe choice for anyone looking for a future-proof solution. Together with the Configuration App, the registration, allocation and direct reception control of all installed wireless M-Bus devices in an estate is made possible.

Ultrasonic flow sensor
The FlowStar U impresses with its flexible usability and high temperature range. With a temperature range of 1 – 130 °C, the flow sensor fulfills all requirements. This makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications and demanding environments. From DN 50 to DN 300, it is the ideal extension to the compact meters SensoStar U.
The FlowStar U flow sensor records the flow rate using high-precision ultrasonic measurement technology, guaranteeing you reliable and accurate volume measurement that meets the highest demands. In combination with the SensoStar C calculator and the temperature sensors, the thermal energy can be calculated precisely and efficiently. This enables comprehensive and exact energy control and billing.
